About Word Smiths
Experience, expertise, quality
The Word Smiths partnership has been providing high quality, cost effective training and learning programmes for a wide range of private and public sector clients for more than 18 years. We are responsive, creative and reliable – a claim supported by our long track record of satisfied customers.
As a small, independent consultancy, we add value through our individual expertise. We do not rely on subcontractors and all work is carried by the designated principal.
Building on our core business in learning design and delivery, we now operate in several other related areas.
- We run courses in speed reading, Mind Mapping™, memory techniques and effective business writing. The aim of these events is to help participants to think creatively and process information effectively. These courses are held both as public open events and on an in-company basis.
- We publish a range of audio books: Speed Reading for Success, Coaching and Mentoring for Success, and Memory and Learning for Success.
- We develop and in many cases deliver custom learning packages for clients in both the public and the private sectors. Over the past 18 years we have provided effective, flexible and cost effective training and learning solutions in subject areas as diverse as venture capital, dialysis systems, performance management, telephone skills, residential care - and many, many others. Our long track record of satisfied customers shows that we are responsive, creative and reliable. What's more, as a small independent partnership with a low administrative overhead, we are able to offer extremely competitive rates and prices.
- We are typesetters and designers of both print and on-screen materials. We also manage the production of print and other media: we can, if required, handle projects from origination through to completion.
