About the Word Smiths partnership
Word Smiths is a small, independent partnership based in Wales. It has provided high quality, cost-effective training and learning programmes for a wide range of private and public sector clients for more than 20 years.
What we do
- We design and run one-day workshops in effective business writing, speed reading, Mind Mapping™ and memory techniques. These are run mainly for clients on an in-company basis, but also as occasional open events.
We publish a range of audio books which are also related to creative
thinking and information processing. Titles currently available are Speed
Reading for Success, Effective Business
Writing for Success, Coaching & Mentoring for
Success and Memory & Learning
for Success. These are sold through online retailers, mail order catalogues
and our own website.- We design and deliver custom learning packages in a wide range of client-specific subject areas. Working in close co-operation with clients and topic experts, we can design a creative solution for any topic and any learner group.
Team
Word Smiths consists of partners Jane Smith and Nick Smith, supported by administrator Anja Liewehr. For larger projects, we may work as part of a team, often consisting of people and organisations with whom we have long-established associate relationships.
My
aim is to develop people’s confidence by showing them how easy and exciting
it can be to read, read, write and learn effectively. My background is in
education and adult education management. I am an experienced training consultant
and run a range of management training and personal development workshops.
I design classroom, text and on-line learning and training materials. I also
write and ghost-write management/ business books, reports, articles, reviews
and audio books.
